Origin and history

The Museum of Tonnellerie in Checy is a monument located in the commune of Checy, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. This museum is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the know-how related to the manufacture of barrels, a historical artisanal activity in this region. In the Centre-Val de Loire, wine and vine trades, such as cooperage, have played an important economic and social role.
