Façades and the roof: inscription by decree of 23 June 1933

Origin and history

The Hotel de la Chancellerie de Senlis is an emblematic monument to the city of Senlis, built in the 16th century. This building, whose facades and roof have been inscribed in the Historical Monuments since 1933, bears witness to Renaissance civil architecture in this region. Its official address, 23 rue de la Chancellerie, places it in the heart of Senlis' urban heritage, in the department of Oise.

The location of the Hotel de la Chancellerie is specified in the Merimée base, with an approximate GPS address at 28 rue de la Treille. Although the accuracy of this location is considered poor (note 5/10), the monument remains an important historical landmark. It is associated with the commune of Senlis, identified by the code Insee 60612, in the former Picardie region, now integrated in the Hauts-de-France.

The legal protections applied at the Hôtel de la Chancellerie date back to 1933, with a registration order specifically targeting its facades and roof. No information is available on its current use, whether it be visits, room rental or accommodation. Sources mention only its status as a Historical Monument and its representation in heritage databases such as Monumentum.
