The cross at the crossroads of Châtillon-sur-Saône is a monumental stone cross erected in the seventeenth century. It consists of a masonry pedestal, an ionic capital column and a carved cross. The pedestal bears an inscription dedicated to Monsieur Garnier, priest of the place, dated 1809, as well as the Latin formula "O CRUX AVE". The sculptures include Christ surrounded by Saint Nicholas and Saint Sulpicus, the symbols of the four Evangelists, and a Virgin of Piety on the reverse, accompanied by saints and angels carrying the instruments of the Passion.

The cross is located at the crossroads of the Grande Rue and the road of Enfonvelle, at the exit of the village towards Fresnes-sur-Apance. It is part of a collection of monumental crosses present in the commune, such as the Bacchane cross or the Saint Sulpice cross.
