Private hotels classified in France

A mansion is an urban residence owned by a sole proprietor. The most prestigious are between garden and courtyard. Often the house body is extended by two lateral wings, forming a closed courtyard of honour.

These hotels are the property of prominent characters: nobility under the Old Regime, eminent members of the clergy, great bourgeoisie.

It seemed essential to us to introduce them by region and by department.
