La Croix de la Carmoterie is a monumental cross located in Mazerny, in the Ardennes department (Great East). Dating from the 2nd quarter of the 19th century, it is distinguished by its ironwork decoration representing the emblems of the Passion of Christ, as well as the figure of a soldier-labourer, symbol of the link between agricultural work and war. This monument, located at the intersection of roads D987 and D235, embodies a fusion between spirituality and daily life of the rural populations of the period.

Classified as historical monuments by order of 15 March 1993, the cross is the work of sculptor Pons Biclodel. It belongs to the municipality of Mazerny and appears in the Merimée base under reference AB DP/190. Its iconography reflects the social and religious concerns of the 19th century, where public monuments were often used to mark space while transmitting collective values, such as sacrifice or resilience.
