Maison Tary (cad. 1406): by order of 24 December 1930
Origin and history
Tary House is a building located in the medieval village of Peruges, in the department of Ain. This building, whose exact date of construction is not specified in the sources, was classified as historical monuments on December 24, 1930. Its architecture reflects the typical built heritage of this emblematic commune of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Peruges, a preserved medieval village, was historically a place of passage and commerce between Lyon and Geneva. Houses such as the Tary House, often built of stone and wood, served as both a home and a place of artisanal or commercial activity. Their preservation allows us to understand the social and economic organization of rural villages over the centuries.
