The houses located at 8bis, 10 rue de l'Agence and 13 rue du Pont-Neuf in Lille date from the 18th century. They are an integral part of the Rang du plate d ́eau, an architectural complex characteristic of the city. These buildings, inscribed in the Historical Monuments by order of 3 December 1987, illustrate the residential style of the period in Lille, with facades and roofs preserved for their heritage value.

One of the houses, located at 14 rue de l'Agence, includes the remains of an old house in the backyard, linked to the history of the common stock exchange of the poor, a local charitable institution. This detail highlights the social and historical role of these buildings, which combined bourgeois habitat and collective functions. Their location, between the street of the Warehouse and the rue du Pont-Neuf, reflects the dense and organized urban planning of Lille in the Enlightenment century.

The 1987 official protection specifically concerns facades and roofs on street and courtyard for numbers 8bis and 10, as well as elements of the former poor stock exchange.
