The cemetery cross of Laval-le-Purié is a wrought iron work erected in 1813, as attests the vintage engraved on its barrel. It is distinguished by its floral motifs in sheet metal, typical of the craft of the early nineteenth century. Although the cross itself dates from 1813, its stone pedestal bears the date of 1921, indicating a restoration or partial replacement at that time. The monument is still located in the enclosure of the communal cemetery, for which it was originally designed.

The cross was listed as historic monuments on 13 June 1997, recognizing its heritage value. This classification protects both the wrought iron structure and its stone base, identified under cadastral reference B 133.
