Origin and history
The chapel of Thiélouze is a religious building located in the eponymous hamlet, on the town of Uzemain, in the department of Vosges. This monument, inscribed in the Historical Monuments by decree of 15 May 2025, includes not only the chapel itself, but also its plated ground, a fence wall and a cross located at the entrance of the western esplanade. These elements are fully protected, as the cadastre specifies (parcel 245, section 0A).
The chapel belongs to the municipality of Uzemain, whose Insee code is 88484, and is located in the former Lorraine region, now integrated into the Grand East. Although available sources (Monumentum, internal data) do not specify its exact origin or construction period, its recent listing as Historic Monuments underscores its heritage importance. The approximate address, Rue de la Chapelle, allows to locate it in the Vosges rural landscape, where religious buildings often play a central role in local community life.
The accuracy of its location is assessed as fair (note 5/10), which may reflect GPS coordinates or map data to be refined.
