Church (Cd. E 406): registration by decree of 20 January 1994
Origin and history
Saint-Théodule Church is a religious monument located in Montgellafrey, in the municipality of Saint François Longchamp, Savoie. It is part of all the baroque churches of the region, characteristic of Alpine religious architecture. Its interior decoration, dated 1860, could cover older paintings, although this is not confirmed by available sources.
The building was listed as a historical monument on January 20, 1994, specifically for the richness of its interior decor. This heritage protection underlines its importance in the architectural and religious heritage of Savoie. The church belongs to the commune and is located precisely at the place called Le Bey, according to the coordinates available.
Its baroque style and local history make it an important part of Savoyard heritage.
