Origin and history

The Dolmen de Cayssac 1 is a megalithic building emblematic of the Neolithic period, located in the commune of La Loubière, in the department of Aveyron. This monument, typical of prehistoric funeral architecture, bears witness to the cultural and religious practices of the societies of the time. Its location in the local landscape reflects the importance of megalithic sites in the territorial organization of neolithic communities.
