Origin and history
The domain of Contines de Las Barros, located in Réalville (Tarn-et-Garonne), is a rural complex representative of the second half of the 19th century. Built in 1866, it illustrates the agricultural architecture of this period, with a master house surrounded by functional outbuildings: barn, stables, pighouses, and an oven-pigeon. These elements reflect the economic and social organization of the rural farms of the time.
The buildings, which were fully protected by a registration order in 2004, also included a apiary and a toolhouse, highlighting the diversity of agricultural activities. The estate, although located with medium accuracy (level 5/10), remains an intact testimony of 19th century Occitan agriculture. Its registration as Historic Monuments attests to its heritage value.
The official address, route from Paris to Réalville, and approximate GPS coordinates (141 Chemin de Ratier) confirm its territorial anchorage in the Tarn-et-Garonne. No information is available on its current accessibility (visits, rental) or contemporary use, but its state of conservation seems to have justified its legal protection.
