Origin and history

The Church of the Sacred Heart of Anzin is a religious monument located in the commune of Anzin-Saint-Aubin, in the Hauts-de-France region. The available data do not specify its construction period or its detailed history, thus limiting the understanding of its architectural evolution or its role in the local community. In regions such as the Hauts-de-France, churches have traditionally played a central role in the social and spiritual life of the inhabitants.

These buildings served as places of worship, but also as a gathering for important events in collective life. Their presence often reflects the importance of the Christian faith in the organization of villages and cities throughout the centuries.
