Origin and history
The church of Notre-Dame de Rozières-sur-Mouzon originated in the 12th century, when its initial structure was built. This religious monument, typical of Romanesque and then Gothic architecture, fits into the Vosges landscape as a place of worship and gathering for the local community. Its history is marked by major transformations, especially in the 15th century, reflecting the stylistic evolutions and liturgical needs of the period.
The ogival-style western gate is one of the most remarkable elements of the building. Ranked a historic monument in 1994, it illustrates the influence of late Gothic art in the region. The church itself was registered in 1926, highlighting its heritage value. Owned by the commune, it remains a symbol of the religious and architectural heritage of the Great East, linked to the medieval and modern history of Rozières-sur-Mouzon.
The church's location at 13 Rue de l'Eglise and its Insee code (88404) are precisely located in the Vosges department in Lorraine. Although the sources do not detail its current use (visits, cults, events), its status as a historical monument makes it a preserved place, testifying to the religious practices and craftsmanship of the twelfth and fifteenth centuries.
