Origin and history

The church of Boullarre is a religious building located in the municipality of the same name, in the department of Oise (60), in the Hauts-de-France region. This monument, whose precise location is estimated to be mediocre (note 5/10), is listed in the Merimée base under Insee code 60092. Although its detailed history is not provided, its listing in the inventory of Historic Monuments by order of November 3, 1927 attests to its heritage importance.

Today it belongs to the commune of Boullarre. Village churches, such as Boullarre, played a central role in the community life of the rural localities of Hauts-de-France. Beyond their religious function, they served as a gathering place for the inhabitants, marking the important stages of social life (marriages, baptisms, local holidays).

In this historically agricultural region, these buildings often reflected the identity and resources of the communes, while being a visual and symbolic landmark in the landscape. Their preservation, as evidenced by the inscription of 1927, underscores their historical and cultural value.
