Origin and history

The church Saint-Blaise de Fox-Amphoux is a religious monument located in the commune of the same name, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The available data do not specify its period of construction or its architectural evolution, but its existence bears witness to the local heritage. Village churches, like Saint-Blaise, traditionally played a central role in community life in Provence.

They served as a place of worship, assembly and identity marker for the inhabitants. Their architecture often reflected local resources and know-how, while meeting the spiritual needs of rural populations.
