Origin and history
The church Saint-Blaise-et-Saint-Martin of Ancizan is a religious building located in the department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the Occitan region. It is located precisely place of the Church, in the commune of Ancizan, identified by the code Insee 65006. This monument is part of the communal heritage and was inscribed in full, including its bell tower and its porch, by an order dated 24 April 2025.
This protection covers the whole building, as defined on a plan annexed to the official decree. Parish churches such as Saint-Blaise-et-Saint-Martin played a central role in the life of Occitan villages, especially in rural and mountainous areas such as the Hautes-Pyrénées.
