Origin and history
The church of Saint-Brice d'Autreville, located in the municipality of the same name, is a religious building whose origins date back to the twelfth century. Construction or modification continued in the 16th and 17th centuries, reflecting several architectural periods. This monument, classified by decree of 11 August 1987, now belongs to the commune and reflects the evolution of styles and construction techniques over centuries.
Otherville, located in the Vosges department (Great East region), was historically a rural area where churches played a central role in community life. These buildings served not only as places of worship, but also as gathering points for the inhabitants, marking the social and religious rhythms of the population. The church Saint-Brice, with its protected elements, embodies this function throughout the eras, while being a preserved architectural heritage.
