Raoul de Civry - Lord of Civry Offered the church to the Abbey of Coulombs.

Origin and history

The church of Saint-Hilaire de Boissets is a Catholic religious building whose oldest parts date back to the 15th century. Located in the commune of Boissets (Yvelines), it is listed as historical monuments by order of 6 March 1950. Its bell tower, built on a wooden structure, dates from the 18th century. The church is oriented to the northeast and follows a longitudinal plane, with a single nave ending with a flat bedside, flanked by a small body of quadrangular houses.

A church is attested on this site from the 11th century. Between 1078 and 1099, Raoul, lord of Civry, offered the church at the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Coulombs. The latter shared the tithe of Boissets with the priory of Haute-Bruyère until the Revolution. The building was erected as a vicarial chapel in 1825. The main façade features a basket handle door and two ressalt foothills, while the side façades are rhythmic with curved bays and foothills.

Inside, the church houses a statue of St. Clotilde or St. Odon, listed under the reference PA000874. The roof, with long panels, covers the whole structure. The building, owned by the commune, is located at 10 Rue de la Vaucouleurs, in Boissets, in the department of Yvelines (region Île-de-France).
