Origin and history
The church of Saint-Jacques de Nampteuil-sous-Muret is a religious building located in the department of Aisne, in the Hauts-de-France region. Built in the 12th century, it was consolidated in the 16th century, reflecting two distinct architectural periods. His inscription as a historical monument in 1927 was a testament to his heritage importance.
In 1997, the church received a grant of 150,000 francs for the restoration of its cover, with the exception of the abside, thanks to the Foundation for the Protection of French Art. This intervention helped to preserve a key element of local heritage.
The monument, owned by the commune, is registered by decree of 3 June 1927. It is referenced in the Mérimée database and associated with documentary resources such as Clochers de France and the Observatoire du Patrimoine Religiouse. Its exact address is 4 Rue du Pontceau, 02200 Nampteuil-sous-Muret.
