Origin and history

The church Saint-Léger, located in Flammerans in the Côte-d'Or department (region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté), is a religious building built in the 4th quarter of the 18th century. This monument, inscribed in the inventory of Historical Monuments by decree of 29 July 1976, illustrates the ecclesiastical architecture of the pre-revolutionary period. His architect, Pierre-Joseph Antoine, supervised his design, marking the local heritage landscape.

The location of the church, at 7 Rue du Sapin, is documented in the Merimée base, with geographical accuracy deemed to be satisfactory a priori (note 6/10). Owned by the municipality of Flammerans, identified by the code Insee 21269, it is part of the canton of Dijon. Although its current use (visits, rental, worship) is not specified in the sources, its status as a Historic Monument underscores its cultural and architectural importance.

Available data from Monumentum and the internal archives confirm the protection of the building as a protected element under the cadastral reference G 369. No additional information is provided on any subsequent modifications or anecdotes related to its construction. The monument remains a key testimony of the Burgundy heritage of the end of the Ancien Régime.
