Origin and history
The Church of Saint-Marien de Vic-sur-Seille is a religious building located in the commune of Vic-sur-Seille, Moselle (57), in the Grand Est region. This monument, whose location is considered satisfactory, is listed as a Historical Monument. Although little detailed information is available on its architecture or history, it is notable for its stone bas-relief located above the lintel of the southern gate, protected by a ministerial decree.
The stone bas-relief, a protected element of the church, was inscribed under the title of Historic Monuments by an order dated 6 June 1933. This architectural detail reflects the heritage importance of the building, although the sources available do not specify its exact origin or context of creation. The church now belongs to the municipality of Vic-sur-Seille, which manages and preserves it.
