Origin and history

The church of Saint-Martin d'Angivillers is a religious building located in the commune of Angivillers, in the department of Oise, in the Hauts-de-France region. It is distinguished by its structure in the form of "T", an architectural characteristic that makes it unique in the region. Affiliated to the parish of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul du Pays de Chaussée, it bears witness to the local religious history and its evolution over the centuries.

The church houses several classified objects, including 16th century funeral slabs. Among them are the engraved funerary slab of François de Guillebon and Gabrielle de Gomer, dating from the 3rd quarter of the 16th century, as well as that of Philippe de Guillebon and Gabrielle de Chasserat, dating from the 2nd quarter of the same century. The baptismal fonts, dating from the 4th quarter of the 12th century, are also a remarkable part of its heritage. These objects illustrate the historical importance of the church and its connection to the family of Guillebon, native to Beauvais.

The church was built in part in the 16th century, a period marked by architectural and religious transformations in France. Although the precise details of its foundation are not mentioned, its existence reflects the cultural and spiritual practices of the time. The church remains a symbol of local heritage, linked to the history of the Guillebon family and the Christian architecture of the region.
