Origin and history

The Saint-Rémi de Remoncourt Church is a Catholic religious building located in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region. Originally built in the 12th century, it underwent major changes in the first quarter of the 16th and 17th centuries. Originally dedicated to Saint Hilaire, she now bears the name of Saint Rémi. This monument illustrates the architectural and spiritual evolution of the region over centuries, with traces of late Romanesque and Gothic styles.

Ranked under the title of historical monuments by order of 11 October 1990, the church houses remarkable furniture elements, including an organ made by Henri Didier in 1891. This ranking underscores its heritage importance and its role in local history. The building, owned by the municipality of Remoncourt, remains an active place of worship while bearing witness to the medieval and modern past of the Vosges.

Available sources, including Wikipedia and Monumentum, confirm its status as a protected monument and specify its exact address: 30 Rue des Nonnes, in the municipality of Remoncourt. Its Insee code (88385) and its attachment to the Borough of Epinal make it a key element of the Lorrain heritage, now integrated into the Great East. The location, noted as "passable" (level 5/10), reflects the challenges of cartographic accuracy for this type of rural building.
