Origin and history
Saint-Sarre Church is a Catholic church located in Vred, in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region. This religious monument, typical of Christian architecture, is part of the local landscape as a place of worship and gathering for the community.
The cemetery adjacent to the church disappeared in the early twentieth century, leaving room for the present communal cemetery. This change reflects the evolution of funeral practices and urban planning in the small French communes during this period.
The church's stained glass windows were partly restored by Alfred Labille's glass company in the 1930s. These restoration works demonstrate the attention paid to the preservation of local artistic and religious heritage.
