Origin and history

The church of Saint-Saturnin de Pey is a monument located in the commune of Pey in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Although its existence is attested, the available sources do not specify its period of construction or the architectural or historical details that could characterize it exhaustively. In the general context of New Aquitaine, parish churches like Pey played a central role in the lives of local communities.

They served not only as a place of worship, but also as a gathering point for the inhabitants, often reflecting the social and religious organization of the time.
