Origin and history
The Sainte-Thérèse-de-Lisieux church in Montpellier is a religious monument built during the first half of the 20th century. This place of worship, dedicated to Thérèse de Lisieux, is part of the Montpellieran architectural landscape, marked by urban expansion and a diversification of styles at the beginning of the last century. The first half of the 20th century in Occitanie is a period of social and urban transformation, where churches play a central role in community life.
In Montpellier, as in other French cities, these buildings reflect both local traditions and modern influences, while meeting the spiritual needs of a changing population.
