Origin and history

The Écomusée du Santon et Traditions de Provence is a cultural monument located in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. This place is dedicated to the preservation and valorisation of artisanal know-how, especially those related to santons, these clay figures typical of Provence. These objects, often associated with Christmas crèches, are a strong symbol of local cultural identity.
