The location of this monument is approximate, with an accuracy considered fair (note of 5/10). The official address registered in the Merimée database is 6900 Kerveno, 56340 Carnac. Owned by the municipality, this site is a rare example of Gallic domestic architecture, offering a material testimony of the lifestyles and construction techniques of this time in Armoric.
The Gauls of Brittany lived mainly in agriculture, livestock and commerce, with a social organization often structured around tribes or clans. The houses, such as the one in Carnac, served as places of living and storage, reflecting adaptation to local resources and climatic conditions. These constructions were usually made of perishable materials, making their preservation until today exceptional.
