Origin and history
The building at 27 rue Valade in Toulouse is an emblematic building of the 18th and 19th centuries, marked by preserved architecture and interior decorations. Ranked a Historic Monument in 1977, it is distinguished by its living room on the first floor, adorned with doors, a fireplace, wrought beams and mythological scenes. The rounded corners of the rooms, the wall frames and the parquet floors complete this refined decoration of the late eighteenth century.
The facade, made of exposed bricks, also dates from this period and has a ground floor with four arcades, topped by two floors framed by pilasters. A cornice supports the windows of an attic, adding to the elegance of the ensemble. The building, owned by the commune, preserves architectural and decorative elements representative of its time.
The information available indicates an approximate location, with an accuracy considered fair (5/10), and an official address in the Merimée database. The building, including its interior decorations, is protected by a classification order, highlighting its heritage importance in the Toulouse landscape.
