Origin and history
The Courcimont barn, located in Nouan-le-Fuzelier en Sologne, is a typical example of 18th-century rural architecture. Its brick-burdened wood sections, characteristic of the region, house a large attic occupying the entire first floor. This monument, classified as Historical Monument in 1986, reflects the local constructive techniques of the time.
The barn and its adjoining stable date from the late eighteenth century, while the adjoining house, built of bricks, dates back to the early nineteenth century. This site, owned by the municipality, bears witness to the evolution of agricultural buildings in Sologne, between tradition and adaptation to residential needs.
The listing of Historic Monuments in 1986 underscores the heritage value of this complex, where the layout of wooden panels respects solognote architectural traditions. Although its precise location is approximate (note 5/10), its official address is the 5094 Venelle de Courcimont, in Nouan-le-Fuzelier.
