Facade and roofing on street: inscription by decree of 14 April 1954

Origin and history

La Maison Cozette is a monument located in Amiens, in the Hauts-de-France region. Built in the 4th quarter of the 18th century, it represents an example of civil architecture of this period, marked by classical influences and a concern for urban elegance. The building is distinguished by its facade and roofing on street, protected by a decree of inscription in 1954.

The Cozette House is now owned by the municipality of Amiens. Although information on its current use is limited, its status as a Historic Monument underscores its heritage importance. It is located at 26 Place Vogel, a central address in the city, reflecting its integration into the historical urban fabric.

At the time of its construction, Amiens was a dynamic city, marked by commercial and craft activities. Bourgeois houses like the Cozette House illustrated the social status of their owners and contributed to the beautification of the city. Their preservation makes it possible today to understand the architectural and urban evolution of the region.
