Origin and history

Estoublon Public Clock is an iconic monument located in the town of Estoublon, in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Built during the first quarter of the 18th century, it is located on the side of the so-called Saint John hill. This type of public clock played a central role in the daily life of the villages, allowing the inhabitants to synchronize their agricultural, religious and social activities.
