Origin and history
Hotel de Rasse is a private hotel located in Senlis, in the department of Oise, in the Hauts-de-France region. Built in 1522, it is distinguished by its sober architecture, contrasting with its imposing wall of enclosure. The latter, decorated with pilasters, medallions and reverse consoles in the Renaissance style, bears witness to a marked artistic know-how. The monument owes its name to the Maison de Rouvoroy de Saint-Simon, linked to the seigneury of Rasse.
The wall bordering the street was inscribed as historic monuments on April 5, 1930, highlighting its heritage value. Although the hotel itself is described as a building of little character, its portal and carved decorations make it a notable example of Renaissance civil architecture in Picardia. The varied patterns and quality of ornaments reflect the influence of the artistic currents of the time.
No information is available on the current use of the building (visits, rental, etc.), but its listing in the heritage protects its most remarkable elements. The sources mention its precise address, rue Bellon in Senlis, as well as its connection to the commune and to the department of Oise, formerly in Picardia.
