The Hôtel du Jeu de Paume, located at 54 rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Île in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, is an emblematic 17th century building. This monument, now classified, bears witness to the historical importance of the game of palm, ancestor of tennis, in the social and cultural life of the period. Its architecture and location on Île Saint-Louis make it a rare vestige of this aristocratic sporting tradition.

Ranked a Historic Monument by order of 23 April 1987, the former Jeu de Paume is protected for its heritage interest. The elements entered specifically concern the old structure dedicated to this sport (cadastre 04:04 AV 14). Although practical information about his visit or current use is limited, his official status underlines his role in preserving the Parisian heritage of the Grand Century.

The location of the Hôtel du Jeu de Paume, in a historic district of Paris, reflects the urbanization and leisure of the elite under the Ancien Régime. At that time, palm games were privileged meeting places, mixing physical exercise and sociability. Their gradual decline in the 18th century left few architectural traces, making this site all the more valuable to understand the customs of modern times.
