Origin and history

Hotel Nayme is a private hotel located in the municipality of Cuiseaux, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. Built in the fourth quarter of the eighteenth century, it represents an example of civil architecture of this period, marked by the elegance and refinement of bourgeois residences.

The building was listed as historic monuments by two decrees, one dated December 9, 1988 and the other dated January 3, 1989. These protections relate specifically to facades, roofs, the entrance door, the gate and the enclosure wall, thus highlighting the heritage importance of these architectural elements.

Hotel Nayme is located at 60 Grande-Rue (or 60 Rue Édouard Vuillard) in Cuiseaux, in an urban environment that reflects the history and development of this town. Although the information on its current use (visit, rental, accommodation) is not specified, its status as a historical monument makes it a key element of local heritage.

The Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, to which Cuiseaux belonged, was in the eighteenth century a dynamic area, marked by trade and lively social life. Private hotels, such as Nayme, often served as residences for wealthy families, playing a role in the economic and cultural life of the city.
