Hotel, with the exception of the North Pavilion (Box AB 62, 64): registration by order of 10 March 1987

Origin and history

The Hotel Perrin de Jonquières is a building located in the town of Arles, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department (region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur). This monument, classified among the Historical Monuments, is distinguished by its location in the heart of the city, between Rue de la République and Rue Tour-du-Fabre. Although its exact construction period is not specified in available sources, its partial listing in the Historical Monuments Inventory in 1987 demonstrates its heritage importance.

The protected elements of the hotel exclude the North Pavilion, according to the registration order of 10 March 1987. This type of building, typical of urban private hotels, often illustrates the way of life of local elites in modern times. In Arles, a city marked by a rich Roman and medieval past, private hotels such as this one could serve as residences for wealthy families or notables, playing a role in the social and economic life of the city.

Their preservation makes it possible today to understand the architectural and urban evolution of the region.
