Origin and history

Le Fief de Bois Ramé is a manor house located in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Originally dating from the 15th century, this medieval house was partially classified as historical monuments on April 16, 1929. It consists of two rooms per floor, served by a turret staircase whose corbellations are decorated with fine sculptures at their base.

This type of architecture reflects the seigneurial houses of the time, often organized around an inner courtyard and equipped with characteristic defensive or decorative elements. The 1929 official protection specifically concerns the stair turret and the courtyard façade, with their roofs. These architectural elements reflect the historic and heritage significance of the site.

Although the sources mention a period of construction in the 15th century, some references also refer to the 2nd quarter of the 19th century, suggesting changes or continued occupation. The mansion is part of the landscape of the historic monuments of Indre-et-Loire, an area marked by a rich heritage linked to the Touraine and the history of the local nobility.
