The building in Thiers, dating from the 16th century, is distinguished by a 15th century gate, an architectural element preserved. This portal consists of a frame topped by a broken arch tympanum, framed by small buttresses ending with pinnacles. An archicvolt moulding, decorated with hooks and curly cabbages, highlights the ensemble, while the accolade melts with the curved support of the upper window, creating a harmony between the carved elements.

The door, classified as Historic Monument by decree of 18 December 1924, illustrates the artisanal know-how of the late medieval era. Its flamboyant Gothic style, marked by plant details and slender lines, bears witness to the continuing influence of this artistic current at the beginning of the Renaissance. The precise address, 10 rue du Bourg, places the building in the historic heart of Thiers, town of Puy-de-Dôme.
