Origin and history
The building in Avignon, in the department of Vaucluse, is a historical monument whose remarkable elements – facade and roof – were inscribed by ministerial decree on 1 February 1934. This building, now extinct, was located near the old city walls, on the platform of the Line.
The destruction of this building took place during the operations to clear the ramparts of Avignon, an urban project aimed at modernizing or refurbishing this historic space.
