Origin and history

Jonvelle Presbytery is a building built in 1776 in the commune of Jonvelle, Haute-Saône. It was designed by architect Anatole Amoudru, originally from Dole, according to a classical arrangement between courtyard and garden. This building retains original decorative elements, such as chimneys, hazes, ceilings, and a stone staircase with a wrought iron ramp.

In 1996, the presbytery was listed as historic monuments, recognizing its heritage value. The outbuildings to the east, initially barns and stables, were transformed into a cinema. The house and the facades and roofs of the outbuildings are protected by this decree.

The presbytery is now owned by the municipality of Jonvelle. Its architecture and interior elements, such as stairs and decors, bear witness to the know-how and style of the late eighteenth century. The location of the building at 8 Rue de la Poterne is specified in the heritage databases.
