Keilinsky Vasque (not cadastral; public domain): by order of 27 December 1913
Origin and history
The Keilinsky basin is a historical monument located in Saint-Pol-de-Léon, in the Finistère department, Brittany. Classified by ministerial decree in 1913, it belongs to the public domain and is owned by the commune. Its exact location, Place du Kreisker, is documented in the Merimée base, although the accuracy of its location is considered poor (note 5/10).
This type of basin, often associated with public or religious uses, reflects the social and cultural practices of Brittany in the early twentieth century. Similar monuments were generally used as a gathering point or water source for residents. In Saint-Pol-de-Léon, a city marked by a rich architectural heritage, this basin is part of a set of protected properties, illustrating the importance attached to the preservation of local heritage.
