The Church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativity, in full, - as delimited in red on the plan annexed to the decree - is located 7 rue de l'Eglise, on the plot shown in the cadastre section B n° 182: inscription by decree of 7 March 2024

Origin and history

The church of the Nativity-de-la-Sainte-Vierge de Labarthe, classified as a Historical Monument, is distinguished by its bell tower of the 15th and 18th centuries. The latter has a triangular stone wall, pierced by three bays (five originally). The 15th century porch houses a carved wooden door, while the interior retains a communion table grill in wrought iron and gold metal, dated the 18th century.

Inside, a side chapel houses the primitive altar, initially placed in front of the altarpiece. The building, located 7 rue de l'Église in Labarthe-Inard (Haute-Garonne), was fully registered by order of 7 March 2024. Its location is estimated to be of poor accuracy (note 5/10), and it belongs to the municipality.

The bell tower, with its stone elements and bays, illustrates the architectural evolutions between the Middle Ages and the modern era. The porch and carved door bear witness to the 15th century craftsmanship, while the gilded grille reflects the metallurgical know-how of the 18th century. These details highlight the historic and artistic significance of the building in the local heritage.
