Origin and history

The Lavoir de Confracourt is a monument located in the commune of Confracourt, in the region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This type of construction, typical of rural areas, was mainly used to wash linen and was a meeting and exchange place for the inhabitants. Washers were often fed by a source or stream, thus facilitating daily domestic chores.
