This house, listed Historic Monument, is located in the heart of Mende, Occitanie. Built in the 18th century, it is distinguished by its past role of housing the first consul of the city. Its architecture reflects the prestige of its former occupants, with particular attention to the decoration of its facade and entrances.

The front door, in basket handle, is decorated with diamond head bosses with facets, interspersed with flat parts. The arch key and adjacent voussoirs are finely cut, mixing diamond-top patterns and facetted heads. This elegance extends to the interior, where the carpentry with large frames have straight panels and cleverly worked curves, typical of the style of the era.

The most remarkable element of this house, protected by a decree of April 5, 1946, is its 18th century door, including its vantals. This work illustrates the handicrafts except for the period, when architectural detail was used to affirm the social status of the owners. Today, the monument remains a tangible testimony of Mende's urban and political history.
