Façades et Roofs sur rue (Box HO 74-76): inscription by order of 16 December 1985
Origin and history
The houses at numbers 3, 5 and 7 of Place aux Bleuets in Lille date from the 1st quarter of the 18th century. They illustrate the domestic architecture of this period, marked by facades and roofs typical of Lille town planning. Their location in the city centre reflects the expansion and beautification of Lille under the Ancien Régime, then in full economic and cultural growth.
Classified as a Historic Monument, these houses saw their facades and roofs protected by decree of 16 December 1985. Their current legal status is mixed: some parties belong to private owners, others to an association. Although their location is approximate (level 5/10 according to the Mérimée base), they remain a notable architectural testimony of Lille before the Industrial Revolution.
Their official address, registered in the Merimée base, is 3, 5, 7 place in Les Bleuets, in the department of the North (code Insee 59350). GPS coordinates suggest a close location, in 5 place aux Bleuets, confirming their anchoring in the historic district. No information is available on their accessibility to the public or their current use (visit, rental, accommodation).
