Origin and history

The mansion of Coat-Trédrez, located in Trédrez-Locquémeau in the Côtes-d'Armor (Bretagne), dates from the 16th century. This historic monument is distinguished by its remarkably preserved interiors, including beams and flooring, as well as original chimneys. The gleams of the windows, carved, bear witness to the craftsmanship of the time.

Ranked Historic Monument by order of 11 June 1930, the Manor House of Coat-Trédrez (cadastre B 138 to 141) illustrates the Breton civil architecture of the Renaissance. Although the sources do not specify its original use, its protection highlights its heritage importance. The available data indicate a precise location (5365 Chemin de Coat-Trédrez), but no information on its current access (visits, rental, accommodation) is confirmed.

The Trédrez-Locquémeau region in the 16th century was marked by a rural and maritime economy, where manor houses often served as residences for wealthy families or local lords. These buildings played a central role in social organization, combining residential, agricultural and sometimes defensive functions. The Coat-Trédrez mansion is part of this, although its specific history and occupants remain undocumented in the sources consulted.
