Origin and history

La Croix de chemin de Mazirot is a historical monument located in the commune of Mazirot, in the department of Vosges (88), in the Grand Est region. Dating from the 15th century, this stone cross is a typical example of medieval road crosses, often erected at crossroads or along roads to mark a place of prayer or gathering.

Classified as a Historical Monument by order of 3 June 1908, this cross is now owned by the municipality of Mazirot.
