Origin and history
The Pavillon du Parc du Douai de Graville is a historic monument located in Gisors, in the department of Eure in Normandy. Built in the 17th century, it is one of the rare remains of the former Graville estate park, now extinct. This pavilion, classified by ministerial decree on 15 July 1976, illustrates the architecture of the follies or factories of gardens, typical of the great aristocratic domains of the period.
Its state of conservation and its integration into the current urban landscape are a valuable testimony to the local heritage. The building is now owned by a private company, which limits its access to the public. Available sources, including the Merimée and Monumentum base, indicate that it is located at 11 rue de Preslay, with geographical accuracy considered "very satisfactory".
Although its current use (visits, rentals, guest rooms) is not clearly documented, its classification as a historic monument underscores its heritage importance. The Creative Commons license associated with certain photographs of the pavilion facilitates its dissemination and knowledge by the general public.
