Pont sur La Boulogne sur le C. D. 7 : inscription by order of 29 August 1984

Origin and history

The bridge over La Boulogne is a monument located in the commune of Rocheservière, in Vendée ( Pays de la Loire). This bridge, inscribed in the Historical Monuments by order of 29 August 1984, crossed the river La Boulogne on the departmental road 7. It is now owned by the Vendée department.

Such bridges, built in rural areas, played a key role in local exchanges and traffic between villages. In Vendée, as in other French regions, these works facilitated the transport of goods, people and herds, while strengthening links between communities. Their preservation bears witness to the importance of technical and architectural heritage in the history of the territories.
